Published in 1942, the novel tells the story of an emotionally detached, amoral young man named Meursault. He does not cry at his mother’s funeral, does not believe in God, and kills a man he barely knows without any discernible motive. Both collections seemed quite similar to me, but I thought her latest was a nice follow-up, and one I would recommend to those just getting into reading poetry. Or, for any girlfriends who may be going through a bad break-up; Kaur’s poetry is particularly soothing for those sorts of things:trust me.

    Is Sweetest Oblivion worth reading?
The writer wrote a great story and it’s a wonderful start to a new mafia series! For me, personally, ‘The sweetest oblivion’ isn’t a dark story. It is a mafia book so you know that people will get hurt or killed but it doesn’t have a dark vibe. It had the perfect mix between suspense, emotional, longing and romance.
